Fairy Meadows is high enough that nights stay cool even in summer. The main visiting season runs from May through October, when the jeep track and trek are usually open.

June to August brings the most visitors and longer daylight. September and early October often have clearer mountain views with colder nights. Snow can block or slow the approach in winter.
